| It had been a long hard day for Jacob, it had taken him almost half a day to make it from his home in the forest to the gates of Seireitei and the shinigami academy. Upon his arrival he was greeted by a rather thin and weak looking girl. "Excuse me could you te-" Jacob began before he was abruptly cut off by a simple raise of the girls hand. "New students should head directly to the main building, to pick up their uniforms and be assigned a dorm room." The anorexic looking female stated in a tone of voice that indicated to Jacob that she must have repeated the very same speech more than a few times that very day. With a nod and a halfhearted mumble that vaguely resembled a thank you Jacob stepped past her and strode towards the largest building within his eyesight. As he strode down the wide pathway to the main building he noticed that several students seemed to stare at him as he walked past. Being the person that he was Jacob barely paid any attention to this staring, he was well aware that he towered over the majority of people and he was even more aware of the fact that he was much more financially challenged than the majority of enrolee's.
Eventually he entered the large building where he was immediately set upon by a man who was the exact polar opposite of the woman who had pointed him in the buildings direction just a few moments prior. "Name?" He asked in a gravely voice as he scrutinized Jacob. "Jacob Bishop" was the short reply the portly man received. The man mumbled something untilligable as he flicked over the pages on his clipboard before eventually ticking something off and ordering Jacob to follow him. Complying instantly Jacob followed silently behind the burly man, silently hoping that he'd not have to make any small talk as they walked.
As luck would have it the trip to his room was so short that there wasnt any time to even start a conversation. Jacob stepped into the fairly large room that would serve as his home for the duration of his time in the academy. Inside the room there was a bed, a closet and a desk with accompanying chair. "The bathroom is communal, your uniforms are in the closet already. A copy of the academy's layout and your lesson timetable is on the desk. Lessons start in exactly 10 minutes, tardiness is not tolerated by the majority of tutors so you'd best get cleaned up and changed quickly." The fat man stated before disappearing back down the corridor towards the main entrance to continue his duties. "Thanks" Jacob replied before shutting the door of his room walking over to the closet and taking out one of the uniforms within its confines.
Quickly slipping out of the clothes he arrived in he changed into the students uniform and picked up his schedule. According to the timetable today he had only two lessons, Hakuda and Kido. Snatching the map of the campus off the table, he exited his dorm room and strode in the direction of the Hakuda dojo. For some reason despite his lack of knowledge about the subject, he had the feeling that it would be one he'd excell in.

| Jacob sat fully clothed on the single bed that adorned his room, the Kido textbook he had recieved earlier lay open directly infront of him the light of the moon shining on the pitch black words on the page. Jacob had been staring at this very same page for the past 15 minutes in attempt to wrap his mind around the words laid out before him. As far as he could gather from the book in order to fulfill the task set to him by his kido instructor, he'd have to memorise the rather lengthy incantation set out in the book whilst simultaneously manipulating his reiryoku to perform the desired affect. Judging from how the words on the page made it sound it should have been a simple task, but something in Jacob's mind told him that it would be more difficult than he assumed.
Closing the book with a loud snap, Jacob swung his legs over the edge of the bed before hoisting his 6'10 frame off of its comfortable resting place. The only way he was gonna get this kido down before his next lesson with Tetsujima was to get some practice in and so he snuck out of his room and out towards the quiet forest, silently repeating the incantation to the spell in his head.

| Jacob awoke after a near pointless two hours of sleep and got out of bed. He'd fallen asleep immediately upon returning to his dorm room after having left Tatsuya in the care of the 4th division medics. As such he was still wearing his near shredded and blood stained clothing. With a deep sigh he removed the blood spattered clothes and tossed them into a small pile by the door, wrapping himself in a towel before heading towards the communal showers.
As he let the heated waters of the shower cascade over his athletic shoulders, he began to think about the events of the night before. For some reason he'd felt the need to save someone whom he didnt know, something he usually didnt make a habit of doing. "You shouldve left him to die." A female voice said from nowhere, the disdain in its voice almost tangible. Jacob turned around quickly, his eyes searching for the source of the voice, but to no avail. Shrugging he returned to cleansing his body of the dried blood and dirt from the previous day.
Once he'd finished showering he dressed himself in a fresh pair of robes that he found within the wardrobe of his dorm room and grabbed the book that lay on the desk where he'd thrown it the night before. As he made to leave his dorm room he noticed that just to the left of the wardrobe, a katana was leaned up against the wall. Jacob had been wondering when he'd get his own sword as the day before he'd seen the majority of students carrying one at their hip as well as having seen both Tatsuya and Ryusaki wielding them with near deadly prowess. Jacob reached down and picked up the katana securing it to his right hip prior to leaving his dorm and heading in the direction of his first Zanjutsu class.
